Registration + News + Comments

Hi!

I want a integrate-able news system for my site that allows registered users to comment on blogs, not visitors. Every news publishing system I've tried allows random people to fill in their name, email, and comment. I want a "You must be logged-in to comment" thing going on.

I was wondering if anyone can help me with this; if you know a 3rd party news publishing system or scripts. Any help is greatly appreciated.

This could be a simple task to a complex... is this to go on one page, stored in a database?, how do you want them to register? what is your level of php?

I wanted to use a database to store their registration stuff. By "level of php", are you talking about difficulty? Then hopefully something simple, as I'm just starting to learn PHP. :]

yes the a good level/understanding of php and mysql would be needed. Look for tutorials on google for php logins and php members area. Are you looking for a guest book that requires the user to login to comment?

Yes, like a guest book.

Actually, it just hit me, I can use a simple news publishing script and combine it with a a comment script that requires registration. Onto some googling now. Hopefully it won't be that difficult. :p
