British English to American English parsing

I'm prototyping an informatics system (in PHP5) to be used across U.K. / U.S. medcare sectors.

Any PHP5 (regex) classes available for converting text from British English to American English .. in medcare domain?

If not, I guess I can build one the hard way using regex.

Goodness, sounds like an unlikely thing to find ready-made. Google is your friend and probably the only way you'll find one.

It sounds like its quite a big job, Is there a huge difference between medical terms between the uk and state side? Creating a library that will do a good job wont be easy.

I think your assessment is correct .. I've found nothing ready made, so far.
