Hi and merry xmas and new year to you php heads🙂
hope you can help,
I have a page of results from a database search, i want to be able to click on the specific results and go to details.php which will be the specific details of the specific result, HOW can i do this??? i was thinking a nice 'i' icon would be nice next to each result to click on to send you to the details page but i don't know how to send the user to the specific page which is of the same url.
Thanks for replies i know it can't be as difficult as i am thinking, but i think i'm having a mental block!

you can have the urls thedetailspage.php?id=1 or thedetailspage.php?search=text

you will see how the tutorial selects the database and then get the field they need and inserted in a url ( the id=$variable ) and in the page for details they use the $_GET method ( or HTTP_GET ) and select from the database the only matching row
