Full url needed

hi,
after using rewrite and custom 404 pages all the url's are incorrect.

I now get...

http://example.co.uk/static/images/headerleft.jpg

instead of..

http://example.co.uk/images/headerleft.jpg

how can i get this rewrite to work?

rewriteRule .(gif¦jpg¦css)$¦^info.php$ -
RewriteRule ^{static/([^/]+)/?$} info.php?page=$1

Add an [R] after your RewriteRule so that it's sent as a redirect instead of a simply internal rewrite.

i have tried that but i cant seen to get it to work?

RewriteRule ^{page/([^/]+)/?$} info.php?page=$1 [R]

i now get this address...

http://example.co.uk/home43c/sub002/xxxx-PERI/example.co.uk/info.php?page=contact

Woops, try putting a "/" before "info.php".

Thanks, the only thing is is that it still displays the url as the original
...?page=contact ect ???????

Well yes, it's supposed to...

If you want it to be left as /page/contact, then you'll have to use absolute paths for your images/stylesheets/etc. so that they load properly; otherwise, the relative paths will be off (since the browser things it should look in the "page" directory first).

whats the best way to do this as i have many links which would take forever to change?

shrug Change them by hand, write up a quick PHP script to scan the file(s) and replace links automatically (anything that doesn't begin with a '/' is a relative path), or go with the [R] redirection.

http://example.com/imags/1.jpg ?

Technically "/images/1.jpg" would work, but yes, you need to specify an absolute URL.
