Can someone decode this for me?

Found this in footer.php, I dont' mind the author links but I don't like some of the other links shown. So when I went to edit footer.php on my site I got this:

I tried following some threads I found regarding decoding base64 but it got a tad confusing, and the few attempts in which I did get some sort of output, it was still a bunch of random letters/numbers. Can anyone decode this? I'd really appreciate it.

I didn't decode it myself (and I'm not sure if I want to try, especially after the warning header), but frankly I don't know what the code does other than eval() an encoded string. For all I know, it could glob() my (or any other unsuspecting bystander who tries to take a crack at decoding) system32 directory and start unlink()'ing at random.
