Whenever I run the following URL: http://valsignalandet.com/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/ppowell/php4.cgi/~ppowell/emailalert/index.php?htmlTitle=Email+Alert - in IE I get the following warnings:
Warning: Unknown(): open(/tmp/sess_dd8c18b1e8 1f830bb5a847b3cb12e2cc, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in Unknown on line 0
Warning: Unknown(): Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0
In Firefox, however, these warnings never appear. However, it appears to function just fine in both browsers.
I would love an explanation as to why this occurs and how to prevent it from appearing to the potentially confused IE users. And telling half the world to convert to Firefox is probably not a viable option, either. Dangit.
Thanks
Phil
