installing php5 and mysql4 in windows

i am getting error while using the php5 and mysql 4 in the windows environment fatal error: undefined function mysql_connect

how can i resolve this

Did you read the post NogDog linked to? Did you follow its instructions (and note the suggestion in the preface to move away from the old, deprecated [man]MySQL[/man] extension and instead use [man]MySQLi[/man] or perhaps even [man]PDO[/man])?
