[RESOLVED] Review my simple database structure please

I am trying to build a simple web application that will print out info on machines. MY dad has a lot of machines in the yard from bulldozers to cars, and I wanted to inventory all of them so that my dad can pull up the site and see all his stuff.

I would want it to look like this on the site:

Brand: Ford
Model: Bronco
Version: 5.0
Year: 1993
Color: White
Status: Running
Problems: NONE
Vin: 1M8GDM977777777777777777

Notes: NONE

So with that said, I cant figure out if I should do this with everything on 1 table or have many tables. How do you figure something out like this?

machine [id, brand, model, version.......]

or

brand [id, name]
model [id, bid, version]
etc etc

The problem right now is I have no clue on what way I should go about this.

The real question is, how many of the criteria will have more than 1 answer.

For example:

When you say "Problems". Do you want to keep a log of the problems and when they occurred? If so, there's a table.

Same thing with "Notes". You can have the notes updated, or you can create notes with a date attached, etc...

I would also store the image attributes (filename, description, etc..) in a separate table. Just in case you want to have several images of the same machine.
