Hello everyone,
I was wondering if I could trouble you again for a little bit of help.
I'm working on a little project for an internet radio station, where by the station manager can insert shows into the database and these would be pulled out and displayed on the website.
The pulling out of the shows isn't really a problem as such, as i've done this before.
What i'm looking to do is to give the admin a graphical interface for the schedule rather than a form with dropdown menus, where when submitted, it comes back and says "that slot is taken". I think this way may work better.
Dates are not a problem as radio shows are recurring on days of the week, so it doesnt matter about the day of the month for example, just monday - sunday.
Each day will have a table set out like this:

When the manager clicks on a free slot it will give him a form to fill out with the time and day already set on it, so all they have to do is choose the presenter and submit the form.
I feel rather silly as I said to this guy "yeah, i'll be able to do that.. Cost? don't worry about it, it shouldnt take me long to knock up"
At the moment, i've set my database up as follows:

All times are in minutes from midnight; e.g 60 = 01:00, 120 = 02:00 etc etc, and I have a function written that converts the minutes into hours and minutes. (I figured the minutes would be easier to work with)
Where i'm stuck at the moment is how to actually generate something like the first image. I'm okay with pulling out the shows for the specific days and listing them in the correct order, the only problem i'm having is to get it formatted correctly.
Does anyone have any insights? 🙂
Thanks a bunch,
Davey
