[RESOLVED] Best way to check if signed-in?

Hi,

I am wondering what is the best way to check if someone is signed-in?

I have all of this working but I am trying to figure out what is a easy way to have each page check if the person is sign-in, right now I have a if(isset()) {page stuff here} on each page

is there a better way? is there something that can be turned on in php to have it start a session no matter what?

the website has on every page at the top a nav bar that is based on if you are log in or not, and also your access level

when you do a search if you are log in you will have option near the results that allow you to add to "My Resources" and as time goes other features also

That's the way it should be i think,
put your if isset code in one file (e.g : header.php) then all u do is simply include this file in each of your page or your main page.
