how the hosting company knows your site is safe from bot or email header attack?

I only host a few sites that I wrote, so that is not a problem for me at this moment.

I was always wondering how these hosting companies which host everybody's site know your site's online forms are safe from these bot or email header injections attacks. And what if your site was attacked, the hosting company will detect the attack and shut you down in time until you fix it?

I doubt that they ever "know" that a site is "safe", but they can track all the traffic to a site and look for certain patterns that match any heuristics they have that indicate such abuse (e.g.: a form page that receives post data a couple times a day on average suddenly getting a thousand hits in a few hours).
