Shopping.com api problem

hello everyone

i am working on shopping.com api.
the problem i am facing is that, the xml is returned in different patterns when different keywords are being searched:
e.g:
http://api.shopping.com/scripts/GSIsapiExt.dll//GSIsapiExt.dll/linkin_id-8024645/Keyword-camera/NM-10
this returns different xml

http://api.shopping.com/scripts/GSIsapiExt.dll//GSIsapiExt.dll/linkin_id-8024645/Keyword-jeans/NM-10
and this one returns entirely different result

i cannot display result on web page because every time the structure of xml is changed.. kindly help me in this regard

They return 5/6 deferent types of Result. You will find the variables their api specification. Visit this https://partners.shopping.com/ResourceCenter_ApiImplGuide.external?sp=Simplementation

According to the shopping.com API documentation you will receive your results as type 1, 2, 3, 5 or 0. The page also shows what fields would be returned for each type.

You can use the following code to see what is returned:

$xml = simplexml_load_file("http://api.shopping.com/scripts/GSIsapiExt.dll//GSIsapiExt.dll/linkin_id-8024645/Keyword-camera/NM-10");
print("<pre>");
print_r($xml);
print("</pre>");

I have been to shopping.com developer section (the link u gave me). but i am still confused in this.

wil you please xplain me a bit more why "the same query with different keywords" return xml in different format.

Actually am still in my early days in php and api
i worked on yahoo shopping api previously but this one i cant handle it...
please help me out

You should parse your result according to the result type.

The Result based on the keyword.

Make a query for the categories this will make sense. U can see the two different keywords you have used are in the different category and thats why u have got different type of result.

Ya, now i am understanding it a bit.

like when i search for "caps" it returns "type 2" result. so i had to parse xml according to type 2.

i've done this....thanks for your guidence, but now i am facing another problem. It returns only 5 results...i read the documentation

here they say to control the number of results use parameter ND-[n] . am using it but still am getting only 5 number of results which are set by default...

interestingly when i use ND-3 it returns me total of 3 results..but when i try to increase the value of ND greater than 5 it reuturns me total of 5 results.

dont know why.

ND is not for all type of result. there is also a difference in variable name. But i can't remember. u will get in that link about it.
