No spaces in Retrieved data from the data base

My web site is done using php. It retreives data from a MySql data base.

My problem is - in the data base, in one single field there are several paragraphs. When that field is linked to my web site and data retrieved through it, those several paragraphs appear as 1 single paragraph. the spaces between paragraphs are not showed. what might be the reason for this.

If somebody can help me this simple issue, i would be really greatfull

Is the data being inserted into the mysql database via a form, or do you edit it manually?

Either way, the texts in the database will need to be formatted in html. For example, you'll need to insert text formatting into the result.
