[RESOLVED] Fatal Error

Hi, I have a login page for my site and it was working fine. I then decided to make a function called footer(); so i can print a footer on each page of the site. After making this function i got this message on the login page:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare confirmuser() (previously declared in /home/ootaclan/public_html/test/login.php:11) in /home/ootaclan/public_html/test/login.php on line 34

I'm not sure exactly what that means so i was hoping one of you could help me out.

its possible that in the process of creating your footer() function you included a file that was already included before, so PHP errors because any functions in that file would be duplicates and you can't do that.

you should probably look back through you logic to locate where this doube-include is occurring... but a quick solution may be to change all your include()'s or require()'s to include_once()'s and require_once()'s which will prevent PHP from trying to load the same include more than once, even if you tell it to.

ahh... yes thats what happened, the login file was being called with 2 include statements. Thanks for the help.
