Vista crashes with Apache PHP & MySQL?

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a development environment on my machine to develop with PHP (for the first time). I found a nice tutorial on the internet that explains how to configure it.

I installed Apache Web Server 2.0.63
PHP 5.2.5
And MySQL 5.0.45
After completing all the installations, an attempt to start the Apache Server crashes Windows to the infamous blue screen..., same after a restart.
I tried to uninstall MySQL and still it crashes...
Anyone familiar with it?, any recommendations on other versions that might work?
