1and1 managed server

Did anyone use 1and1 managed server?

I have a 1and1 root access server and it has no problems for half year now. But 1and1 doesn't offer any tech supports for the root access server except hardware issues.

I am thinking switching to 1and1 managed server. But 1and1 will offer tech support of the os and application software they installed of the managed server. But I have to live with whatever 1and1 gives me now on the managed server and wait for whatever whenver 1and1 will update. I have no control of that part at all.

my questions are

is the managed server enough for your usage as a php developer? or it has tied up your hands because what 1and1 managed server offers are not enough for your php developing?

Any good or bad experience?
