Running a URL from PHP file

Hello,

I have to load a URL triggered after a certain job is finished. i dont need the contents of the file. Just needing to make it visit the URL. That URL creates a file. Maybe it is not logical but I must make it work this way.

Do the job -> Visit URL

I played with cURL but it gets the contents of the file and I could not make cURL just visit.

I don't know of a way to "just visit", but you could set the CURLOPT_TIMEOUT value to just 1 second via [man]curl_setopt/man so that your cURL request does not wait longer than that for data, and then just discard/ignore whatever data might have been returned.

Thanks but that does not create the file. btw, the file is a binary one.

i think the explanation is this is just like a cron job.
