mail error

Please any one explain me what kind of error this is:

arning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver
at "localhost" port 25, verify your "SMTP" and "smtp_port" setting
in php.ini

At a guess, you are running your script on a Windows platform and have not set up your environment to handle mail() calls from PHP. See [man]Mail[/man] and mail() function for more info. An alternative is to use something like PHPMailer, with comes with its own SMTP mailer class which you can use instead of mail().

Hi NogDog,
with same configuration, I sucedded in my officePC, but this problem happaning with another PC (my home). So, I m confused.
I edit in php.ini file smtp_port = 25.
Actually problem is, no connection between web server & outlook express.

But how & where to set up the "environment"?
