Ok, first Hi to all,
Ok, now I have been getting alot of help from folks on this forum and I am very grateful and at the end when its time to lauch the site that you all have been helping with I will post the address so you may see all of the stuff come together.
Any how I need some advice:
on the website there is 5 areas as of now which are:
News, Products, Answers, Forums, Resources.
Now on every one of these there is a search box that allows you to search that section for what you are interested in. Now the way I am doing this so far is to have each app in its own dir (which is a good thing) but in each dir I have a index.php.
So my first question is:
Should I use on index out of the main dir and set that up so when they click on one of the service tabs that index just changes to show the information that is for the service that is being requested? (ex: you click on News the screen has the search box in the middle and under that is a table that has different news type like entertainment, lifestyle, sports, local, etc etc another ex: you click on answers and you will see the search box in the middle and under that will be the most common search for answers)
Now on all of these the search box botton will change to say Search Answers, Search Products, etc etc
So my next question would be:
Should I create a different search box for each app or should I create one that changes based on the service picked? (I know if I was to do that I would used Switch/case for having the name of the button and form name change, right?)
And one more question:
How could I have the title of each page change so that its whatever service is being used? Should I store this stuff in the database or hardwire it and have the title show based on the link thats clicked, I have a header, footer files
Thanks for your advice its grately Thanked,
Christopher
