[RESOLVED] printing problems

Ok this is what i have so far, its a bit of a mess so perhaps some help with that but the main problem is the very last part of the table and end of div only needs to be printed out once however it is printing out everytime when i only want it printed the last time once only like i have the header and header text printing out once only.

You have included it in the while loop.

it is included in the wile loop because it must be printed everytime a category ends. if there are 5 categorys then there are 5 headers, 5 content, and 5 footers. so it comes on screen like boxies with each box belonging to a category.

I have an idea ... move the block

to the beginning of the while loop (in front of the block that prints the div start in case the category changes.

What happens is (head: div start, foot: div end)

loop a: no foot, print head, print first category content
loops: print content
loop b: category changes ... print foot, print head, print first category content
loops: print content
loop c: category changes ... print foot, print head, print first category content

Additionally you need to print out the foot once more outside the while loop after the while loop to properly close the output of the last category.

it seams like a great idea the way you describe it however seems quite impossible with my level of codeing to work out even were to start >.<
