how to delete or alter multiple/not equal rows

hello guys
i use xcart , and use the csv import to update the products prices , this doesnt delete the products that not in my csv file

the number of rows in the products table is about 3000 , we maybe have 2000 products for sale , the other 1000 products must be delete from the website , or the for sale status change to NO ,

i have the for sale product list , but in the data base i have the for sale and not for sale products , i should delete the not for sale
for example i have in the products table these SKU numbers ( products numbers )

and i need to delete 3 6 9 from this table , but i know only 1 2 4 5 7 8 10 ,

i need to run something like

delete from products where sku <> 1 , 2 , 4 , 5 ,7 ,8 , 10

<> is the not equal ( or != )

maybe it is easier to alter the rows that doesnt exist in my list ( the rows 3 6 9 ) and change the value of the column forsale from Y to N

i am confused and confusing you , sorry but i do not know how to explain it in a better way

i only need to know how to set the delete statement in a correct and safe way to delete the rows that i do not know , the rows that not in my list ,

Is your cvs a complete list of products that you sell? Meaning, in theory you can empty the table and repopulate it with just your CVS if you want to only contain what your CVS contains.

However, I would not recommend that approach if you have a high volume site.
A safer method (although slower) is when you upload a cvs, insert an item if not found and timestamp it to current time - date, or if found, update row with current time date.

Then you can have your program retrieve only items with the most current timestamp, be sure to capture the timestamp first so all fields have the same one.

your solution can work very well if i just dont have the products features / description not in my cvs

i maybe turn all products not for sale and upload , will try that , but this mean i need to alter all rows and change the value of column " forsale " from Y to N

can you help me with that please

It's not the best way to do it, but if you get the list of ID's of the products that you DO want to keep in a comma-separated format (e.g. 1, 2, 4, 5, 9 etc.), then you could do something like:

DELETE FROM myTable
WHERE product_id NOT IN (1, 2, 3, 5, ...)

Note that such a query isn't very efficient, but that's the best that I can think of given the limited conditions.
