anyway to make php4 strict code in xammp ??

Hello forums!!
I would like to know if there is any method to make the php script to be strict php4 compatible
For example we can use E_STRICT for php5

I would like to any .htaccess hack or else method.
Note: I have xammp installed with php5

Enabling E_STRICT has "PHP suggest changes to your code which will ensure the best interoperability and forward compatibility of your code."

So if you want to apply this to a PHP 4 script, write it as PHP 5 code instead, with E_STRICT. After all, official support for PHP 4 has ended.

This is not quite what you asked for but are you aware that xampp also delivers php4? It's been a few years since I have done it but I think there is a bat file you can run to switch between versions. And of course running php4 is the best way to ensure your application will run under php 4.

But why develop in PHP 4 at all, any more? PHP 4 is dead and the dirt is being shovelled on as we speak. There would have to be pretty compelling reasons to still be avoiding 5 after all these years. Not only has PHP 4 been stagnating for a long time now, but with cessation of support upgrading will only get increasingly more painful the longer it's delayed.

And if you say it's because "my host doesn't support PHP 5", get a new host - assuming that you're paying them.
