[RESOLVED] submit form with info in browse box

I apologize in advance because this question is only slightly related to php. I am trying to create an html upload form where you would normally have a browse button to find the path and correct file you want to upload. I want to know if it is possible to preload the upload box with the correct path to the folder that has the file you are looking for and then using a php variable at the end choose the correct file from the folder. At the php variable at the end of the file path is easily done. Basically, what I am trying to do is have an upload form, but without having to click on the BROWSE button to find the path and file. It will already be in the box. Is this possible to do if I already know what the correct path is?

No, it is not possible as all browsers that I know of prohibit you from manipulating an INPUT element of type 'file' due to security reasons.

Think about it: what if I pre-filled some file paths and then hid the fields using CSS/HTML? You'd be uploading files of my choice without ever knowing it!
