PHP, Mysql and Dreamweaver CS3

Hi,

I was just wondering if there is any way to display the nextval in the primary key in a form. I am using Dreamweaver CS3, PHP 5 and MySQL 5.0.45. I need to display the primary key project_id (nextval). I have tried to set up a dynmic text field and a recordset with no luck...

i'm not following what you are trying to do. Are you trying to dynamically populate and auto generated id into a textfield?

If so, stadard ajax
and that is javascripting, independent of dreamweaver. You can use your php to echo out the generated ID at time of the INSERT command

To display a list of all records in the DB, in Dreamweaver use the Server Behavior "Repeat Region", select All records.
Create Recordset
Add form
Add each dynamic text field desired into the form
select the dynamic text fields (or table)
Add Server Behavior "Repeat Region"
