I would expand on that a bit: if the question is mainly concerned with the JavaScript aspect of AJAX, then the Client Side Technologies forum JP pointed you to makes sense. If the main issue has to do with your PHP code on the server side, then probably the Coding forum would make more sense, in my opinion.
