Output Query & Print

I have used phpMyEdit to create a php interface to my SQL database. My problem is that I want to be able to print (with a printer) the output of my searches in a simple table format without all the additional buttons, etc. that show up on the main search page. I have NO idea how to do this. Can someone help me? I'm sure it's a simple script. I just am not able to find any help on this.

why not make a webpage that formats the outputted data any way you like

That is my plan, but I need to understand how to bring over the executed query language into the new page. Here's the steps I want to take:

1. Execute search
2. User clicks "Print Search" button or link (I can do this in java, my problem is that I don't know how to write the php code to bring over the executed search into the new window)
3. New window opens that shows the executed search and all records.
4. User can use the print function on their browser to print the report.

the new window is just a page, so can have what ever php you need

Yes, I understand that. I just don't know what code to put into the submit button to make it pull the query over to the new page.

well if your using a submit button you post the vars and pick them up at the other end
