Menu on click help

hello, I've been searching for a tutorial on making a menu for my links and I finally found one.

But the problem is I would like it to appear like so:

Say I have my links in my index.php file right?

<a href="me.php">About me</a>
<a href="you.php">About you</a>
<a href="us.php">About Us</a>
<a href="everyone.php">About everyone</a>

ok now lets say I click on "about us" right? it loads the page and some content shows up, but I have more links that I would like to have and thats where my menu comes in. Is there a way where when I click on "about us" it would load the menu.php file and add a new menu on top of the original menu? like so.

<a href="meu.php">me & you</a>
<a href="who.php">Who's us?</a>
<a href="we.php">We're Us</a>
<a href="cool.php">We're Cool</a>

<a href="me.php">About me</a>
<a href="you.php">About you</a>
<a href="us.php">About Us</a>
<a href="everyone.php">About everyone</a>

One of the easy way is to do a if...else check.

If you're on this page, then add in those menu. else don't add in.

umm I'm not sure what your talking about? I'm kinda new to php sorry so I dont really know that much. Is there a way you can code it out for me ?

but yea anyway just to try and make it clearer on what I'm looking for.

If I were to click on

<a href="me.php">About me</a>

A new menu with links would show up above the table with the main links.
Is this possible?

One of the lousier way to do it is to find out the current page that your in.

For example, now your in me.php, then you will show the menu out.

if ($curr == me.php) {
 // show menu
} else {
 // don't show
}

ok so my code would look something like this?

<a href="me.php">About Me</a>
<a href="you.php">About You</a>
<a href="everyone.php">About Everyone</a>
<? include ('./nav.inc');
if ($curr == me.php) {
// show menu
} else {
// don't show
}
?>

Or where would I put the code? would I put in in my index.php?

I would recommend stepping back and learning some PHP basics. I know that sounds mean, and for that I'm sorry. Provided every line of code, someone here would definitely be able to create the code for you, but since I assume you WANT to learn how to do it, I would start with some basic tutorials on PHP, this way we can assist you in understanding how to apply the concept without doing the entire coding for you and it being 'plug and play'.
