php with java is it right choice?

i have to build site for managing project

but i did not know if php will satisfy the features expected in the site as java do

i'm java programmer and it is the first Experience
with a php & java (with my sql server),

I read that php support java, but
Is it mean that anything I can make it by java can I doing by php?

What about the strength of java language can I think that will be in web application of php&java?

Please , help me
It my graduation project 🙂 , and my supervisor say if php can satisfy the features of any java program for ability to evolving , performance , all oop features , you can begin with php

PHP is a great programming language, it's based on C++ as a matter of fact. Take a little time to look at tutorials, with your programming background it's going to be very easy for you to pick up. I've written chat systems and forums in PHP, not sure what you mean by the other three, but you can log most everything using PHP especially if you have a MySQL database around to help keep track of it. I won't do your homework for you, but if something goes kaboom let us know and one of us'll help guide you I'm sure.

my graduation project must be satisfy high performance, i'm asking if php will
be as java (satisfy OOP)

and if i can doing the following using php:

•Advertising space
enables the team member and supervisor to post their important notes to all members such the deadline, new received file from supervisor , to do tasks and etc.

Multi-editor
enables cooperative text editing by allowing team members to work on a single document simultaneously. Every member can modify the document in any place at any given moment, while observing in real time the changes introduced by other users.

‘Supervisor’ folder
contains two subfolders
• ‘ From Supervisor ’
contains files retrieved from supervisor.
• ‘ To Supervisor ’
contains files transferred from the coordinator to the supervisor.

Log file:
records last events (e.g. report modification, discussions) with time and member’s name

You are a Java programmer who is new to PHP. This is your graduation project, so chances are you have to work alone and learn PHP while working on your project, and there will be deadlines you have to meet. With that in mind, it may be a bad idea to use PHP since Java can be used for what you want to do.

If you want to add a PHP project to your portfolio, then by all means go ahead. However, in that case you should ignore the fact that a PHP bridge to Java is possible.

PHP 5 has support for just about all the major object oriented concepts. To a large extent, performance depends on how well you design and implement your project. A Java program might be faster than its PHP equivalent especially due to being compiled to bytecode, but PHP has such bytecode compilers as well, if necessary.
