zzz has been around for some time, jeremyphphaven, so I tend to treat him/her as more skilled than the average newbie.
Sure what I said may or may not have been the fully technical answer to this guys question. But I guarantee that he understood the principle in my answer more than yours.
Unfortunately, your answer is wrong. For one thing, variables, not arbitrary code, are parsed within a string specified with double quotes. The other problem is what I mentioned: there are no variables at all in the string that zzz showed us.
Honestly, I do not know what is the problem with the given information, but I do know that your suggestion should make no difference, so I felt I had to point that out. The real problem lies elsewhere, and consequently ucffool's suggestion makes sense. It is basically a variant of "find the smallest and simplest script that demonstrates the problem".
