Moving php site to Windows 2003 Server

I'm fairly new to PHP, but I successfully set it up on a 2003 server with IIS and moved a web site from another provider onto it. The index.php page loads fine, but when you try to access links on the page they go to another page name without the php file extension, so I get a page cannot be desplayed error when I try to access them. We got the website in a zip file so I have no idea what kind of a server it was running on before.

I would think this would be some type of global setting, like in the php.ini file, to tell the server to add the php file extension to the page name, but have done hours of research and can't find any answers, or anyone else that has had this problem.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

Sounds like the page was originally using mod_rewrite to create better SEO results. This is set in the httpd.conf file so I would look at that for the original site and see. mod_rewrite will allow you to take something like www.yourdomain.com/listings.php?id=1 and access it through www.yourdomain.com/listings/1 increasing relevancy and optimizing it for search engine results.

Thanks for the response. Problem with looking at the httpd.conf is the person that was hosting it last will not give us access to the old site. I have the site up and running at http://206.192.236.129/ and if you look at the tabs across the top or the links on the right they all point to files that are on the site and but the links lack the php file extensions on them. They will open fine in a browser if you put the link pus the php extension for the url they point to.

I was hoping there was a way to set this golbally on the server to add the php extension so I don't have to someone redesign the site. I seen somewhere in my research today that you can also mask the extension so hackers don't know the platform you are on, maybe that's what is going on...

Yeah they are using mod_rewrite as I suspected. You will need to change the links manually to add the .php extension.
