Building a Personal Dashboard

I'm working on something I've wanted to build for quite awhile.. The idea is, all the major sites I visit daily, put together on one page..

What I have so far looks like this: http://www.kielventures.com/dashboard/

As you can see, each site is loaded as an iframe, and can be navigated without leaving the other pages.

The problem:

Many of the sites I frequent require logins.. and have short session expires..
I attempted to overcome this with a meta-refresh and by having each iframe reference a local php page.. the local php page references the actualy URL that I'm viewing.. and that local php page containing the meta-refresh..

It's a somewhat lame way to keep the session alive as the page will refresh even if you're interacting with the iframe..

This dashboard idea will be huge if I can overcome this refresh issue.. Is there anyway to turn off the refresh if you are interacting with the iframe??

You need to get the API's that allow you to interface with the site in question and receive data streams.

The dashboard is designed to work with ANY site, not just ones offering API's.. The only ones that dont work thus far are sites with 'frame breakers'

I figured out how to get passed the refresh problem.. I just made another page 'refreshers.php' and set it to refresh all the pages that have session expires, thus allowing you to access the main pages on the dashboard all the time without EVER having to log in again!
