[RESOLVED] PHP6 -- Anyone Running It?

Anyone scripting with PHP 6 yet that could list the big differences? I know by default Magic Quotes are off but aside from that, is it possible to find a list of the big differences?

Well, while we could list the differences, it doesn't mean that they will actually make it into the final version 🙁 Although some of the nicer aspects are namespaces for objects and better OOP functionality.

Of course you could read the minutes from back in 2005 and know what's coming for yourself: here.

I remember reading that was going to be ported back to PHP 5, 5.3 maybe?

Thanks! I was just wondering because I was at Borders last night and saw a PHP 6 and MySQL 5 all-in-one book.

I wouldn't buy it. PHP 6 is still not out, and not definitively set as to what's going to be in it.

It's possible, but I haven't heard anything on it. But it is possible ....

I didn't plan on it. I'm happy with 5 🙂
