I have inherited a site to complete and I need advice on finding a solution that would prevent me from re-writing the whole lot.
Each individual record has, among many other fields, 2 fields which store Primary ID's of other records from 2 different tables. So the field is basically a varchar which stores the ID's as such:
1 2 5 7
So, as this occurs for 2 fields for each record, my problem/question/request for help (!) lies when the customer comes to do a search on the website to filter out these unique records.
On the search form I will have the 2 list boxes displaying the 'linked records' but when I come to extract the data upon submit, how on EARTH/what is the best approach to getting the correct database results out using the 2 POSTed ID's from the list boxes?
