Hello, I would like to introduce my new template engine to you guys, in case anyone is interested to try it out and help me getting it further by providing bug reports and feature requests.
It is PHP5-oriented (and it should support PHP6 out of the box) template engine that is compatible with Smarty's default syntax, and offers a compatibility layer for Smarty plugins as well. All of this with the idea of allowing you to switch off Smarty step by step, without the need to refactor your entire application at once. This because Smarty is getting old and was built for PHP4, which leads to some people being unhappy with it.
You can grab the latest beta on http://dwoo.org. It is still lacking some core Smarty plugins/functions, as well as many features, but I need some feedback and especially help on figuring out what are the most important features to add, so don't hesitate to get back to me.
