[RESOLVED] Database security

Hello all,

I building a website and I'm going to be selling from it. I'm going to need to store customer information, orders, products and website stuff (like dynamic menu's) in the databse.

Should I be using seperate databases for customer related data and website related data? Is it ok to just use the same database but have different logins with different rights?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Use the single database. Otherwise, you'll have to run through all sorts of contortions whenever you need to relate data from one to the other. As you suggested, you can control access/permissions via different database user accounts.
