Property Finder

Hi, I've been given the task to create a Property Finder for our new website. Basically the user will select a number of values from a drop down menu / list and then the user will be taken to a dynamic page displaying a number of properties that meet that criteria. I'm fairly new to PHP unfortunately and only know the basic syntax and interaction between php and mysql so sorry if I sound a little bit like a numpty. I've searched different places and can't seem to find a solution.

I assume you'll want something like I've created here: http://www.desertgolfvacations.com You can search by area or criteria. Click on Rentals, then "Advanced Search" for an example.
