Forms and update

Hello, first post so please go easy, its to do with editing a record (php,html,mysql)

Basically a user finds the record that they want to edit on an html page that I have created in their admin section. They click 'edit' and a new page appears with a form that populates with the information from the record they selected. This all seems to work fine.

The issue
I would like the user to be able to edit the information displayed in the form and then submit this information to update the database.

Can someone point me in the right direction.

I would like to know how to submit a form that has been populated with information through a query on my database. I can already populate the form, its just the submission part.

If you are using the GET method to pull the information into the form users are editing you can set the action to the page that contains the submission script

echo "<form action=\"YOURPAGE.php?YOURID=$YOURID\" method=\"post\">";

then in your submission page

$row['YOURID']= $_POST['YOURID'];
$query = "UPDATE YOURtable SET  Field1='$Field1', Field2='$Field2', etc... WHERE  YOURID = '$YOURID ";

Not quite sure what else you are asking for or needing.
