Hello All,

I ran across this great forum when I was looking for assistance to complete my projects for my PHP class. I have always had a respect for Developers and Coders but taking this class has risen that level of respect!

My background is finance and I thought that could be challenging at times LOL.....

I am planning to bit the bullet and learn this!

I prefer the term "n00b" for people that don't do that. The term newbie isn't insulting. I class it as someone who is new to a game, technology and is willing to learn. A N00b is that annoying member that lives by the:
$garbage in = $quality results out.

I've been working with PHP for about 4-5 years now and I still ask n00b questions every so often when my brain freezes up and I go the wrong way about things.

Welcome to the forum. As you can see I'm also a new member here but have lived on webdeveloper (the partner/sister site) for years.

I'm a regular here, or a 0ld pH@rt, depending on how ya slice it; my disappearance basically coincides with my discovery of a rather popular MMORPG, at which I am now somewhat skilled (and I have achieved 'moderator' status in that community), so I'm well familiar with the connotations of the various forms of "Newbie".

And, I make n00b posts too. Take this one as a case in point ;-)
