[RESOLVED] OSS recommendations for website

Was wondering if anyone knows of any open source scripts/frameworks I might be able to use for a "Nightlife" site.

Something similar to this:

Basically a site that has various categories (restaurants/music/bars...etc) with
descriptions and events. Ability to sell advertising space through memberships, and the ability for members to add events and edit their descriptions and various other
details about their companies...etc

I realize there probably isn't anything out there that will completely match our
requirements, but if anyone knows of any OS apps out there along those lines,
I'd really be interested in checking them out.

Something that you could look into would be Joomla.

This is an opensource management systam that lets users register and create and amend articles. There a a number of plugins available to do funky things as well.

Might be worth looking at... www.joomla.org

Yea I've heard of Joomla but didn't realize it was that flexible. Thanks, gonna check it out!
