[RESOLVED] My Sessions don't work?

Hello I'm building a log in script for my site so users can sign up. If I log in correctly it gives me a $_SESSION that works, on most of the pages but if I go to another page in the same folder it doesn't even know that the session is there. For instance if I go to index.php it says Welcome ScoobyDooobyD00 but if I go to page2.php it says Please log in or register.

I can only think on one thing and I'm probably wrong about this. I used Adobe DreamWeaver CS3 to build index.php and recently switched to PHPDesigner2008 when I built the new page.

Does anybody have a suggestion?

you need session_start() at the start of every page you want to use the session

Every page that needs to be controlled must have code in it to:

Do a session_start() (before any output is generated),
Check to see if the applicable $_SESSION value is set, and if it is not...
...Go to the login process instead of displaying the page.

There are any number of ways to do this. Ideally you want to put all that functionality into a file that can simply be implemented on each page by a single line using a [man]require[/man] statement.
