Indices in MySQL, how do I id them in PHP?

Hello! I am so glad I found you guys!

I am trying to re-create my MySQL dbase into PHP so that they can connect. Is there a way to indicate which fields are index'd?

I got the primary and foreign keys set up, but struggling to find info about indices.

Anyone have info?

Wait, you are trying to use PHP to work as a database instead of MySQL? As in, using flat files rather than a database? If that is the case, doesn't SQLite do that?

no. i am trying to connect a mysql database using php. is that the correct way to term it?
