MySQL initiave will ensure PDO support in PHP in future.

Good signal!
We should not hesitate to use PDO Classes in our code.
It will most likely be well supported in future PHP Versions.
Because the power of decisions in MySQL Development Roadmap is Not to be underestimated.

2007-09-24 - PDO gets official support from MySQL AB

Lukas Kahwe Smith:
They have a budget allocated for PDO development.
They will soon assign a developer on this I am told.
As part of this effort it is expected that the entire PDO test suite will also benefit.
