ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE / multiple

Hey guys, Ok, so I have checked out the refrences and so on and im not having any luck updating my db. It works updating one column per id but I just cant seem to get it to work for all 3. here is the one that works.

$sql="INSERT INTO profiles (mem_id, photo, photo_med, photo_small) VALUES ('$_POST[mem_id]','$_POST[photo]','$_POST[photo_med]','$_POST[photo_small]') ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE photo='$_POST[photo]'";

...........................

Now, its the photo_med and photo_small i can not get to update, I have tried a few different ways from the mysql refresnce and no such luck, anyone have a solution?

2 options:

use REPLACE instead of insert .. duplicate key update: replace whole row

Look at your query again. You are telling it to UPDATE photo='$_POST[photo]' and that is what it does. If you want it to update other fields then tell it to do so as well.

You should read up on SQL injection to avoid others viewing your database and change it.

i got it, thanks, this is the first time i've used on duplicate key, but i just added to the photo='$POST[photo]', photo_med='$POST[photo]', photo_small='$_POST[photo]'

worked like a charm.
