Hey everyone. Well I am new on these Forums. I don't really know anything about php. But I want to learn. I have PHP 5 installed on my computer. Though is PHP only for websites or not?

PHP is most commonly used for web site server-side programming; but it an also be used for non-web scripts, and there is a desktop GUI extension for making stand-along desktop applications (stand-alone in that they do not require a web server, but they do require PHP).
