Should I store each new thread in a new table with replies following the original?
How do I do it please help.
Start your forum project
with making a working Guestbook .. or a Blog.
In fact, a guest book is a one topic thread of posts.
Where people can post.
And almost the same is a Blog .... but only one POSTER = admin.
When you have added you nice Guestbook to your site
and got it working with your database and post entry and all,
then you copy the '1 topic script/guestbook' to be many topics/guestbooks.
Then you have 1 forum category, with topics.
After this you copy your 'category script' to be able to create several 'forums categories'.
And there we have it!
What we call 'A Forum'.
You may even make a start page, where you have links to different category.
This will be 'forum index'.
What is important 🙂 is that you write your pages
and set up your Database Tables and organize them
so that it will work when you Multiply your scripts.
So, a little thinking and outline before you start making your first Guestbook
Myself 🙂 I prefer to use some of the many nice free Forums for download 🙂
