Search between 2 columns

Hi ,

I am trying to search records on the database with dates.

My table of the database has 3 columns, the structure and data is a shown below

from_date | to_date | Price

2008-06-01 | 2008-06-10 | 20
2008-05-20 | 2008-05-31 | 35

What i am trying to do is i have a client that wants to book a hotel
from 2008-05-28 to 2008-06-05 as you can see on the table it has to list 2 prices because on the table there is 2 seasons with diferent prices within the booking dates.

I tryed to use "select * from table where from_date >='2008-05-28' and to_date <='2008-06-05' " but it doesn't return any results.

Can you help me with this?

You have to reverse the query:

select * 
from table
where fromdate <= $todate
and todate >= $fromdate

This will return all rows in the period you need. But you still need to use PHP to handle how many days there are in the different dates.
