Creating printable data page

I need to create a printable data page based from my details page, where the data from my db table (an individual record) would be "printer friendly".... (basically, for each record selected, a printer friendly details page would be displayed for printing.

Just not too sure about how to do that, so I turn to the experts.

what is a 'printer friendly' page ??

I am not sure, because I have never added such feature to my webpages,
but often they remove a lot of disturbing IMAGES, COLORS and STYLE.
Most often they use same page,
but loading a different CSS file, that hide some unwanted elements in page.

media="screen"
media="print"
these will automatically load the correct stylesheet,
when user prints your page or just normally view your page
