Print Area Button

Hi there,

I was hoping for some help with my php project please...

I need to create a button that will print an area of my web page (middle of page showing records). I this possible??? I so how please???

Could somebody point me indirect of script or tutorial please??

If you mean print like print a paper copy you should use javascript for this,
php cannot alter a page after it has been loaded.

I usually just add a View Printable Page link and then when it's clicked loads only the records on a white background so it can be printed

You can create a script who opens the print dialog when loaded

Yet another option is to use a CSS "@media print" rule to mark everything that shouldn't be printed as "display:none" (and adjust the layout of everything else if desired), so that when the user prints the page as they normally do, they get the print-only version.

Yeah you can do <body onLoad="javascript:print();"> but that would print the whole page. Weedpacket's approach is a good one, but if you're not familiar with CSS it can be frustrating.
