figuring out Jewish Holidays from year to year

We developed a calendar system a long time ago w/ all the standard American Holidays included. But we recently included the calendar on a site where the client has asked us to include Jewish Holidays as well.

I've been looking around and can't seem to find a site that lists the 'logic' behind each years occurrence, but I found several instances to how it relates to the Gregorian calendar so I'm thinking I may bee a series of functions like the one I have that calculates when Easter falls each year.

Any one out there come across something like this before? Any help?

There is the PEAR Date_Holidays package, though it's still in Alpha, so no guarantees that it's perfect, yet.

My guess would be that the timing of Jewish holidays is determined by the Jewish [man]calendar[/man]. That's the extent of my inferences at the moment, however.
