Enter Tab Issue

Hello,

I am coming across another issue in text boxes.

Issue is if i enter some text in text box field (in administration page mean if i enter some text in admin site form then it shows text on main pages website) and press enter tab then it will start in a new line or if press enter tab twice (on keyboard) then it will show two line difference in input text box field

Like here

<textarea class="input" name="os_text" cols="79" rows="27" ></textarea>

When I save this into database and show text on main website then text wont show tab difference and show all text in one line without any paragraph.

Is there any solution for this. thanks

Text-boxes use a new-line character which is "\n" or "\r\n" or "\r" depending upon your operating system (unix, windows, or mac).

In order to change that to HTML line-breaks, you need to use [man]nl2br/man or do a simple search & replace, replace "\n" with '<br />'.

If you look at your pages source code, I'm sure you'll see the new-lines as well as the tabs.

As for tabs, you'd need to replace "\t" with '    ' (4 spaces).
